The Greater Lorena Chamber of Commerce is holding its, 5th Annual “Saturday in the Park” Wine and Cheese Tasting Event, Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 1:00pm-7:00pm at Lorena McBrayer Park. The event includes local Texas Wineries, Cheeses, Barbeque and Entertainment.
Wineries present this year will be Lily Lake Vineyards, Kissing Tree Vineyards, Valley Mills Vineyards, Georgetown Winery, Thirsty Mule Winery, Austin Custom Winery and The Infinite Monkey Theorem Winery.
Cheese will be provided by Lorena’s own, Texas Cheese House. Scott Simon, head Cheesemaker, brings a wonderful array of delicious cheese to pair with the wide assortment of wines.
Smoked Pit Barbeque will be featured this year by Brazos Barbecue. Locally owned, Keith Kilgo does an outstanding job in bringing delicious chopped barbecue sandwiches to the event.
Bobby James and the James Gang will be new to our event this year, featuring country music at its finest. Space is provided for some great dancing and listening to the oldies as well as the goodies!
In walking distance, is the local “Old Towne” Lorena retail district on Center Street to include, Just for You Antiques and Interiors, Center Street Antique Mall, Deja Vu and You Clothing Boutique, The Village Lamplighter and The Texas Cheese House.
Admission is free and wine tasting tickets can be purchased at the entrance. Bring a lawn chair and plan on spending “Saturday in the Park” with us.
