Community Events & Festivals
Each year to kick off the Holiday Season the Lorena Community Action League organizes the Christmas in the Country Festival benefiting the Lorena Volunteer Fire Department. Christmas in the Country is held the Saturday immediately following Thanksgiving Day. The parade starts at 11:00 am, and world famous hamburgers cooked by the Volunteer Fire Department will be for sale.

Booth's for the Christmas in the Country are $30 for sidewalk booths and $25 for middle of the street booths.
Community Wide Garage Sale is the third Saturday in October each year. Contact Kaye Swain to put your sale on the list.

SPECIAL EVENTSPermit applications shall be filed with the city secretary or designee for consideration on a first come first serve basis not less than 30 days or more than 365 days before the date of the proposed use or activity. In the event of a street closure, applications must be submitted not less than 45 days in advance.
