A community wide family fitness event encouraging whole families to come out and participate in outdoor activities lead by our local Camp Gladiator trainers. It would be great to also have other fitness/health centered vendors and events such as total nutrition, Rosie Joe meals, a family 5k, a climbing tower, bike world, etc.

As a new transplant from Houston Texas the recycling options are area have me a little worried. Even though I have a Lorena mailing address, my area is not serviced by Lorena. I’ve been on next-door communicating with my neighbors in the Box Ranch area and many are suffering the same situation.
Has anyone considered finding a location for a recycling drop bin somewhere within the Lorena city limits that could actually service all of Lorena residence as opposed to those just with and your defined boundaries? Recycling is such an easy thing for all of us to do And what’s right for the land we live on. It’s just a shame not to have options in 2018.
Thanks for hearing me out! I appreciate your time.

I have heard of the City of Waco is charging a fee of $4,500 on all new homes. I think Lorena should do the same to pay for police, fire equipment, and roads. When new people move to town it means we have to build new roads, purchase more fire equipment, and even buy new police cars. Even current roads will have to be widened to accommodate all of the new housing/additional cars.
